BALB/c mice were injected with 5x104 4 T1 tumor cells in the right mammary fat pad. When tumors became palpable (~5 days post tumor cell injection) mice received 390 mg/kg/day α-TEA lysine salt diet (equivalent to 300 mg/kg/day α-TEA) and tumor growth was monitored. b Oral α-TEA lysine salt prolongs survival of mammary tumor-bearing mice.
