    I have reviewed the stats from Google Trends with respect to 'breast cancer' searches and it appears that the internet search activity peeks in September - that is before the start of the awareness campaigns. There is also some data suggesting that incidence of breast cancer is seasonal (higher in fall and spring - both hemispheres) -- perhaps there is more to increased search activity than just breast cancer awareness campaigns.
