The bottom and top of the box are the 25th and 75th centiles and the line in the box is the median; the lower and upper lines represent the minimum and maximum values. The distribution, depicted by the median, displays an increasing trend in hearing threshold bilaterally between 8000 Hz – 14,000 Hz.Footnote: The medians of 16,000, 18,000 and 20,000 Hz are not presented on the table due to the large number of ‘No Responses’ (responses beyond the limits of the audiometer) at these frequencies
