VEGF-A mRNA expression is up-regulated in choriocarcinoma cells. Cytotrophoblasts (cultured for 24 h after seeding) and syncytiotrophoblasts (obtained by spontaneous differentiation of the cytotrophoblasts after 72 h culture) were prepared. VEGF-A expression was measured by qRT-PCR using β-actin mRNA as a reference. Results are expressed as a fold change relative to cytotrophoblasts. All values represent the mean ± SD (n = 3)
