Nootkatone increases NAG-1 and decreases cyclin D1 expression. a Total RNA was isolated for RT-PCR analysis from nootkatone-treated HCT-116 and SW480 cells. GAPDH was used as housekeeping control gene. NAG-1 RNA levels increased in a dose-dependent manner, whereas expression level of cyclin D1 did not change. b Total proteins were isolated from nootkatone-treated HCT-116 and SW480 cells for western blot analysis. Nooktatone treatment up-regulated NAG-1 protein, while cyclin D1 expression decreased in a dose-dependent manner. β-actin antibody was used as loading control.
