SSd reduced Bcl-2 expression, and increased BAK, BAD and PUMA expression. (a) HSC-T6 cells were treated with or without SSd (1 μM) for 0, 4 and 8 h. The total extracted protein content was analyzed by Western blotting to assess the protein expression of Bcl-2, Bcl-xL, BAX, BAK, BAD, and PUMA. (b) The total RNA of the HSC-T6 cells was extracted and quantified after treatment with or without SSd (1 μM) for 0 and 1 h. Reverse transcription PCR was performed with 3 μg of total RNA were used for. Bcl-2, Bcl-xL, BAX, BAK, BAD, PUMA and GAPDH cDNA were amplified and quantified using an ABI 7500 Real Time PCR System. *P < 0.01 versus the control group
