DU-145 adhesion to collagen and matrigel in the presence of dihydroxylated BAs is reduced. For adhesion assays, all cells were grown under hypoxic conditions (DMOG 200 μM), except for untreated cells. DU-145 cells in the presence of 100 μM dihydroxylated BAs were seeded into 96 well plates coated with collagen and matrigel and allowed adhere for 24 h after which supernatants were removed and adhered cells washed and stained with crystal violet. Plates were assayed on a plate reader at 550 nm. All data were derived from three independent experiments, N = 3, S.D; * P < 0.05; ** P < 0.01
