Chronic ethanol feeding modulates cytokines gene expression in the ileum of AOM/DSS treated mice. AOM/DSS-induced colonic tumorigenesis was induced with (EF) or without (PF) 4 % ethanol feeding as described in Methods section. At the pre-cancerous stage (Day 44; 2 week after second course of DSS colitis), qRT-PCR analysis performed in RNA from ileal mucosa for IL-6 (a left), IL-1α (b left), TNFα (c left), CCL5/RANTES (a right), CXCL9/MIG (b right) and CXCL10/IP-10 (c right). Values are mean ± SE (n = 4). Asterisks indicate the values that are significantly (p < 0.05) different from corresponding PF values. Hash tag symbols indicate the values that are significantly (p < 0.05) different from corresponding “Control” values
