The hazard ratios (HR) their 95 % confidence intervals and associated p values were estimated using the Cox proportional hazards model with adjustment for age, gender, grade and site of tumour, income deprivation, co-morbidity and, where appropriate, stage. The MDT+ group is compared to the MDT- group and so a hazard rate <1.00 indicates survival benefit from MDT discussion and implementation
