GSDMB gene is transcribed by the Cellular and LTR promoters. (a) A schematic illustration of the two promoters. (b) Expression of two transcripts, one by cellular promoter and the other by LTR, in human normal tissues (RT-PCR). Four variants of human GSDMB transcript are registered in GenBank; variant 1 (NM_001042471), variant 2 (NM_018530), variant 3 (NM_001165958) and variant 4 (NM_001165959). Transcription of variants 1, 3 and 4 is driven by the cellular promoter and that of variant 2 is by the LTR promoter. The 3′ side of the GSDMB transcripts is common to each.
