Vascular characteristics ofShb+/+ and +/− B16F10 tumors. Sections from B16F10 melanomas grown in Shb +/+ and +/− mice were stained for CD31 (red, A, B). Representative images at the magnifications indicated are shown (A-B). Relative vascular density (C, grid intersections over a red structure divided by total intersections) were quantitated and given as means ± SEM for 5 tumors each genotype and the value of each tumor was based on five images.
