CA7 expression is frequently downregulated in CRC. (A) The expression levels of CA7 mRNA in 59 paired human primary CRC tissues (T) and adjacent normal tissues (N) were evaluated by real-time qPCR methods. (T vs N, p < 0.001) (B) Protein levels of CA7 in an independent set of 25 paired CRC specimens and adjacent normal tissues were determined by Western blot assay. β-actin was used as a loading control. The relative protein expression of CA7 was quantified and normalized to β-actin. Each N was arbitrarily designated 1.0.
