Expression and activity of signalling molecules. HGUE-C1, HT-29, SW620, SW480 and HCT-15 cells were grown, serum-starved for 48 hours, lysed and subjected to Western blot analyses using antibodies against p70S6K and phosphorylated p70S6K (p-pS6K). The p85S6K isoform is also shown (3A). RPS6 and phosphorylated RPS6 (p-RPS6) levels were also determined by Western blot in these cell lines after serum starvation using specific antibodies (3B). Erk 1/2 and phosphorylated Erk1/2 (p-Erk 1/2) levels were also determined in these cell lines after serum starvation by Western blot (3C).
