From: eIF6 over-expression increases the motility and invasiveness of cancer cells by modulating the expression of a critical subset of membrane-bound proteins

eIF6 over-expression induces increased cdc42 protein levels in transiently transfected ovarian cancer cells. cdc42 and eIF6 expression was analyzed by western blotting on the whole cell extracts of A2780 ovarian cancer cells. The bands were quantified by densitometry using the ImageJ software and the intensity of the protein bands was quantified relative to β-tubulin. The results represented in the histograms are shown as the mean ± S.D. and are the average of three independent experiments.
