TGFβ induces morphological changes regardless of genotype. The figure shows representative photos of control, Rb-/-, p53-/- and p21 Cip1-/- cells 72 hours after plating, TGFβ-treated or not for 48 hours. The cells were cultured in the presence of BrdU to assess proliferation indexes for another study [23]. The dark nuclei represent immunopositivity for BrdU. Negative nuclei are paler.
