Proliferation of prostate cancer cells was inhibited by DCPA. DU145 (A) and PC-3 (B) cells were seeded at 100,000 cells per well one day before the addition of DCPA. The cells were incubated in the presence (+) or absence (-) of 150 μM DCPA for 24, 48, and 72 h, as indicated. The cell proliferation assay was performed as described in Materials and Methods. The results are expressed as mean of cell number from replicate experiments. Bars, SD. * indicates significant difference when compared to cell proliferation without DCPA at the same time point (P < 0.01).
