Disruption of the chromatin structure allows for the activation of mb-1 transcription in neuroblastoma cells. (A) The top part of the figure shows ethidium bromide stained agarose gels with actin expression after RT-PCR analysis of Nalm6, SH-SY5Y and SK-N-BE(2)c cells without or after treatment with 5-azaC and TSA. Serial dilutions using 1, 1/5 and 1/25 of the template cDNA after 25 cycles of PCR were used. Panel (B) display auto-radiograms of southern blot analysis of mb-1 RT-PCR products obtained from untreated or 5-azaC/TSA treated SH-SY5Y and SK-N-BE(2)c cells and a serial dilution of untreated Nalm6 cells after 30 cycles of PCR as indicated.
