From: Knockdown of STAT3 expression by RNAi induces apoptosis in astrocytoma cells
STAT3 controls expression of survivin and Bcl-xL in the A172 human glioblastoma cell line. A. A172 cells were transfected with STAT3 siRNA or mock transfected with oligofectamine. After 72 hours, RNA was isolated from the cells and then analyzed by northern blotting for survivin and p21 mRNA. B.
