ShWNT5B induced cell cycle arrest and caspase-independent apoptosis in MDA-MB-231 cells. (A) Cells arrested in G0/G1 phase. Cells were infected with shCtl or shWNT5B, and the cell cycle was examined 3 days post-infection by flow cytometry after PI staining. (B) Immunoblot to confirm the WNT5B knockdown and to determine the expression of cyclin E and Cyclin D1. (C) ShWNT5B induced cell apoptosis. Cells were stained with Annexin V and PI followed by flow cytometry analysis. Bars represent the average of Annexin V or Annexin V plus PI cell number (n = 3).
