Activation of caspases by PEITC. Cells were treated with 3 or 10 μM of PEITC (P3, P10), for 3 and 6 h. Caspase-3 (E & F), caspase-8 (A & B) and caspase-9 (C & D) activities were determined by incubating the cell lysates with fluorogenic substrates specific for each caspase enzyme.
