Quantitation of expression levels of less tumor specific markers using immunofluorescence. Expression levels of less tumor-specific membrane markers (CD44v6, MUC1, Mammaglobin, and CAXII) as determined by immunofluorescence resulted in staining patterns in normal breast epithelium and positive tumors comparable to conventional immunohistochemistry (Transferrin Receptor was not detectable).
