MSeA facilitates vascular normalization by induction of vascular maturation. A. Control. IHC double-staining for both of CD31and α-SMA showed that, the xenograft tumor from the nude mice with no MSeA treatment developed dense microvessels (red) but less surrounding pericytes (brown), indicating less maturation of the microvessels; B. The IHC double-staining showed increased presentation of α-SMA marker for pericytes (dark brown) along with the blood vessels of the tumor from the nude mice received oral administration of MSeA at 3 mg/kg/day for 18 days.
