  1. Plasma levels were measured by standard clinical chemistry methods immediately prior and past plasmapheresis. Fasting was not required prior to plasmapheresis, so total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol and HDL-cholesterol could not be accurately estimated in all cycles (n = 32-57). All values are mean ± SD.
