In vitro cell adhesion of 468-CON, 468-OPN and 468-ΔTC cells. 96 well plates were pre-coated with vitronectin (5 μg/ml) or PBS (neg. control). 1 × 104 cells/well and 3 wells/treatment were plated and allowed to adhere for 5 hrs. Experiments were carried out in the presence or absence of Argatroban (25 μg/ml), or blocking antibodies against integrins β1 or αvβ5 or IgG (25 μg/ml). Adhered cells were quantified by manual counting of 5 high powered fields. Data is presented as the mean +/-SEM. * = sig. different than corresponding treatment of 468-CON (p < 0.001); δ = sig. different than corresponding treatment of 468-OPN (p < 0.001); Φ = sig. different than respective vehicle or control (p < 0.05).
