Dexamethasone treatment inhibited IL-6 expression in NRP-152 but not NRP-154 cells. Cells were grown in charcoal-adsorbed serum-containing medium prior to beginning dexamethasone treatment (10-6 M) for 2 days. Cells were harvested, fixed, and permeabilized, stained for IL-6, then analyzed for fluorescence in FL2, as described above. Panel A, NRP-152 cells. Panel B, NRP-154 cells.
