Schematic overview of the regulatory mechanisms governing the expression of UGT2B17 in B-CLL and normal cells. The UGT2B17 enzyme expression is solely derived from alternative transcripts n2, n3, n4 in B-CLL and normal B cells and is regulated by STAT3, IRF1 and NF-κB. In the liver, UGT2B17 enzyme expression is driven by the canonical transcript v1 and regulated by FOXA1, HNF1 and other transcription factors, whereas alternative transcripts constitute only a minor fraction of the hepatic UGT2B17 transcriptome
