In vivo bioluminescence measurement of MDA-MB-231 cells in the animal model. a 102 to 105 of luciferase-expressing MDA-MB-231 cells were injected into mice. Mice with PBS (no cells) were included as controls. Luciferin substrate was IP injected into each mouse and imaged to obtain radiance flux (photons/s), with dorsal and ventral positions. The data of bioluminescence for each mouse was collected from three experiments. b Total radiance flux from each mouse was compared with the known breast cell numbers.
