ER and PgR protein levels increase upon YAP1 downregulation. (a) Immunocytochemical stainings of the T47D cell line. Cells were transfected with the indicated siRNA and 48 hours later, medium was changed to phenol red-free DMEM supplemented with 5% charcoal stripped serum in which cells were grown for 24 hours. Subsequently, 10^-9 M E2 or 10^-9 M E2 combined with 10^-7 M 4-OH-tam was added and 4 days later cells were harvested, fixed and stained using the indicated antibody. (b) Quantification by automated image analysis of stained cell pellets. Bars represent the percentage of positive pixels identified in the image analysis.
