Initial tumor cell retention to the pulmonary vasculature was studied ex vivo after i.v. injection. A Ex vivo fluorescence imaging of lungs 90 min after i.v. injection of DIL-labelled WT31 or WT31_P5IV. Quantification of adherent WT31 or WT31_P5IV melanoma cells. Lungs were set as regions of interest and fluorescence signal was quantified respectively (P = 0.0016, t-test). N = 4/group, the experiment was repeated three times.
