NE upregulated the expression of Twist1 in glioma cells. The effect of NE on the expression of Twist1 was investigated using real-time PCR, western blot and immunofluorescence staining. A Real-time PCR analysis revealed an up-regulation of Twist1 mRNA induced by NE administration in U251 (n = 3, p = 0.024) and LN229 (n = 3, p = 0.002).
