Association between survival and expression levels of differentially expressed and fusion genes identified in a comparison of serous borderline tumor (SBTs) and high-grade serous ovarian cancers (HGSOCs), among 563 patients with HGSOC. Shown are 4 genes associated with either a differential expression or b gene fusions in our discovery dataset, whose altered expression was significantly associated with survival. Expression and survival data were obtained from the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) ovarian carcinoma dataset [31]. The y-axis labels indicate whether overall survival or disease-free survival is shown. Here, altered expression is defined as being ≥2 standard deviations from the mean expression level of all diploid samples in the TCGA ovarian cancer collection.
