Smad4+/− mice did not develop neuroendocrine tumors or display increased endocrine cell proliferation. a One of two low-grade serrated adenomas found in Smad4+/− mice stained with hematoxylin & eosin, anti-chromogranin A (CgA), anti-serotonin (5-HT), and anti-SMAD4.
