MMP9, MMP12 and TIMP3 proteins are increased in colon cancer epithelial cells compared to normal colon cells. Colon cancer epithelial cells (Caco-2) and normal colon epithelial cells were cultured. a MMP12, MMP9 and TIMP3 protein was assessed in cell lysates after 48 h incubation by immunoblot.
