Statins and zoledronic acid (ZOL) suppress gene and protein expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines in IGROV-1 cells. IGROV-1 cells were treated with increasing concentrations of atorvastatin (ATO), simvastatin (SIM), rosuvastatin (ROSU) or ZOL for 24 h. Expression of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)α and interleukin (IL)8 was assessed by quantitative real-time-PCR (a).
