Hybrid clone and parental cells possess a different expression pattern of the stemness factors SNAIL, SLUG and SOX9. M13SV1-EGFP-Neo breast epithelial cells and MDA-MB-231-Hyg breast cancer cells express all three stemness factors, whereas both HS578T-Hyg and MDA-MB-435-Hyg cancer cells lack SOX9 expression. Hybrid clone cells are also positive for SNAIL. SLUG and SOX9, but each hybrid clone exhibits a distinct expression pattern.
