Note: #Of 37 studies for lung cancer, 23 studies qualified the association between tuberculosis and lung cancer with adjustment for smoking, pooled relative risk (RR) (1.55 [95% CI 1.31–1.83], I2 = 96.0%); 14 studies qualified the association between tuberculosis and lung cancer risk among never-smokers, pooled RR (1.64 [1.41–1.91], I2 = 58.8%).
