Proliferation rate. Immunohistochemistry showing the presence of PCNA-positive cells in xenografts from animals supplemented with or without 0.025% I2 in drinking water for six weeks. Percentage of PCNA-positive cells was quantified by counting the number of labeled cells in at least 500 cells per region, and three random regions were analyzed.
