The MKN45 cells migration and invasion were inhibited by lidocaine. Lidocaine (a) suppressed cell migration, (b) reduced MMP-2 and MMP-9 expression, (c) suppressed cell invasion, and (d) reduced Vimentin expression. Cell migration and invasion were determined by Transwell migration or invasion assay. The accumulated levels of MMP-2, MMP-9 and Vimentin were examined by western blot. *p < 0.05, *** p < 0.001
