IFNλ3 gene expression in ATLL, ACs, and HAM/TSP groups. The mean expression index of IFNλ3 in ATLL patients was higher than that in ACs (P = 0.01, Mann–Whitney U test). Moreover was observed significant difference between ACs and HAM/TSP patients (P = 0.02, Mann–Whitney U test). However no significant difference was found between ATLL and HAM/TSP patients in the expression of IFNλ3. *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01.
