Log2 transformed data was obtained from normal mammary tissue samples (n = 114) and from a total of 683 breast cancers classified as ER-positive (n = 492), HER2-postive (n = 39), and TNBC (n = 152). Statistical significance was calculated against the normal tissue: p-value 8.1 × 10− 45 (ER-positive); p-value 2.3 × 10− 11 (HER2-postive); p-value 0.002 (TNBC). P < 0.005 = significant
