Age-standardized 1-, 3- and 5-year survival and net survival in women with breast cancer, 1985–2012. Estimates of observed survival calculated with the Kaplan–Meyer method, and net survival calculated with the Pohar–Perme method (cohort analysis) for 1985–2012 in 5-year periods and for the final 3-year period from 2000 to 2012. Period analysis was used instead of cohort analysis for the last 3-year period. Age-standardized rates referred to the European population.
