GLP-1R expression in Ishikawa endometrial cancer cells, and inhibition of cell viability and colony formation by liraglutide. a Ishikawa cells were harvested, and GLP-1R expression was determined by Western blot analysis. A representative Western blot result is shown. We found that liraglutide dose-dependently increased GLP-1R expression in Ishikawa cells. * denotes means significantly different from control (p <  0.05; ANOVA). b Cell viability was evaluated by an MTT assay. The viability of Ishikawa cells treated with 10, 100 and 1000 nM liraglutide was significantly lower at 24, 48, 72 and 96 h than that of untreated cells (0 nM). * denotes means significantly different from control (p <  0.05; ANOVA). c A colony formation assay revealed that the number of colonies was significantly decreased in cells treated with liraglutide compared with control cells. Images of representative clones are shown with the bar graph. * denotes means significantly different from control (p <  0.05; ANOVA)
