Overexpression of GFP-tagged Nup88 in HeLa cells. Stable transfectants harboring genes encoding GFP or GFP-fused NUP88 under the control of a tetracycline-inducible system were incubated in medium without (−) or with (+) DOX for 2 days to stimulate protein overexpression. Overexpression and distribution pattern of the proteins in cells were assessed by immunoblotting (a) and by indirect immunofluorescence analysis (b), respectively
