FAM3B overexpression increases cell viability of DU145 cells upon TNF-α-induced apoptosis. a FAM3B expression was measured by RT-PCR (lower graphic) and Western blot (upper graphic) in DU145 cells after infection with a lentivirus carrying the pCSC-FAM3B plasmid. Cell viability was measured by MTT assay in DU145/FAM3B cells treated during 24, 48, and 72 h with (b) serum starvation medium (0.05% SFB), (c) 2 ng/mL TNF-α + 1 μM cycloheximide (CHX), (d) 1 μΜ staurosporine (STS), (e) 20 nM camptothecin (CMP), (f) 50 μM Etoposide (ETO). The results are expressed as means of three independent experiments and as relative ratios to cell viability measured in DU145-control cells (* p < 0.05; ** p < 0.01)
