Arsenic increased Aurora-A expression in the bladder and uterus tissues of mice. Four weeks-old BALB/c mice were untreated or treated with arsenic for two months. These mice were i.p. injected with BrdU (50 mg/kg) 24 hr before sacrificing. The bladder (a) and uterus (c) tissue sections of the mice were treated with BrdU and Aurora-A antibodies respectively, followed by IHC staining. The positively stained cells were quantified in (b, bladder) and (d, uterus). e The sections of the bladders of the mice were treated with E2F1 antibody followed by IHC staining. The scale bar was 20 μm. The data were analyzed by Student’s t test. *: p<0.05; ***: p<0.001
