Generation of nWASP knockdown cell lines. A-549 and SK-MES-1 cells were treated with nWASP siRNA/non-targeting siRNA (NT) at 0.5 μg/ml and then analysed for nWASP expression after 48 h. a QPCR analysis of nWASP transcript expression demonstrates a significant decrease in expression in siRNA treated cells, n = 4 replicates. b PCR also demonstrates a decrease in nWASP expression. c Quantitative analysis of Western blots (n = 4) shows significant decrease in nWASP protein expression in both A-549 and SK-MES1 cell lines after 48 h siRNA treatment. d Representative image showing knockdown of nWASP at protein level in siRNA treated cells at 48 h
