  1. For all cell lines, PD0325901 treatment did not result in a change in surface tension (pair-wise comparison by Student t-test, p > 0.05). GBM-3 was used to determine effects of exogenous fibronectin on surface tension. Here, addition of 300 μg/ml of soluble fibronectin resulted in a significant increase in aggregate surface tension (σ1,2) of 7.3 ± 0.5 to 35.3 ± 4.3 dynes/cm (pairwise Student t-test, p < 0.0001). Liquid behavior was confirmed by demonstrating that 1) surface tension measured at two different compressions, the second greater than the first, were not statistically different, and 2) that the ratio of σ2/σ1 approaches 1 and is less than the ratio of the applied force at each successive compression (F2/F1)
