Effects of EP ligands on PI3K/Akt and Erk phosphorylation in RMLEC. Western blot analysis of (a). Akt and (b). Erk1/2 activation in RMLEC following treatment with PGE2 and PGE1OH for a period of 24 h. Stimulation of phosphorylation of Akt at Ser 473 and Erk1/2 were observed compared to control, untreated cells. Total Akt and total Erk1/2 confirmed the equivalent loading of lanes. (c) and (d). Densitometric analysis revealed that phosphorylation of both pathways was significantly induced after the treatments. (*) indicates p values < 0.05
