NCI-H460 cells are sensitive to TRAIL-induced apoptosis. Whole cell lysates were collected from NCI-H460 cells treated with various concentrations of TRAIL for 1 h (a) or 100 ng/ml of TRAIL for the indicated time (b). Lysates were subjected to western blot analysis for cleaved caspase 8 then stripped and reprobed for GAPDH as a loading control. c NCI-H460 cells were treated with 50 ng/ml TRAIL for the indicated times and apoptosis was assessed by TUNEL assay. Cells were counterstained with Hoechst 33342 dye to denote nuclei. PBS served as control. Bar = 50 μm
