  1. Gr1 patients received no chemotherapy and no or less than 1 week of VA therapy. Gr2 patients got chemotherapy but no or less than 1 week of VA therapy. Gr3 patients received no chemotherapy but a minimum of 4weeks VA therapy. Gr4 patients received a combination of chemotherapy and minimum 4 weeks of VA therapy. Non-parametric tests on group differences were made with a Bonferroni corrected α = 0.00625. Significant values p < 0.01 are shown in bold
